OK, pour clore : j’ai mis un message dans le « Flyspray » d’Open CPN pour signaler qu’il y a une erreur dans la notice, car l’action sur les flèches d’échelles de cartes produit l’inverse de ce qui est écrit dans la notice originale d’openCPN. La notice originale ne laisse aucune ambiguité sur le sens des mots « augmenter » ou « diminuer » l’échelle, et est conforme aux standards habituels.

Ce n’est pas une question de traduction mais bien une erreur de notice par rapport au fonctionnement du logiciel qui inverse les boutons (indépendamment du dessin sur les boutons)

Clics on « arrow up » and « arrow down » produce the opposite of what is expected from the manual Scaling Charts http://opencpn.org/ocpn/scaling_charts
 A clic on the icone « arrow down » produces in fact « Will scale up/in to the next chart of greater detail but less area, if available, within the current view »
 And conversely the « arrow up » produces in fact « Will scale down/out to the next chart of less detail but greater area, if available, within the current view »

Which is the opposite of what is written in the manual

Appears even more clearly when the « journeyman » style is activated. In that style, the graphical meaning of the icons is less ambigus
